How the partner column works
A dash means the verb has no true perfective partner, and the card behind it says why. być, mieć and znać are states, not acts that finish; musieć is imperfective only. Where a near-synonym is the usual way to say "the finished version", the column names it and the card says what it means — wiedzieć / dowiedzieć się is that case.
